Hi there,

My name is Claudette De Vieira and I am an  artist.  I feel privileged to be able to spend time in Moraro.  It is where I feel most comfortable and most connected to nature.  For me, Moraro is a sacred place.  Being there, contributes incredibly to my well-being: fresh air, sunny days, heavy rain-showers, huge tropical trees, lily-white sand, refreshing spring water, organic food, unique animals, wonderful people and the list goes on.

Moraro is overpowered by nature and I’m helping to keep it that way.  And yes, I'm a dreamer, who believes that as nature lovers, we can help secure the rights of nature to thrive.

One big effort I am involved with, is keeping the rain forest-fruit trees.  Many animals depend on fruits from these trees for food.  The protected, fruit trees in Moraro encourage them to come around and sometimes we see wonderful forest-dwellers like blue morpho butterflies, toucans and Green Wing macaws (Ara chloroptera).

Though we love having them, it is sad to know that they come because many of the forest-fruit trees, in the back lands that they depended on for food, have been cut down by just one big logging company.

I feel blessed when I see the animals and because of the wonderful moments they have given me, I’m doing my bit for them.

Of all the birds I see in Moraro, the Green Wing macaw is one of the most awe-inspiring.  Watching them fly and feed, or just hearing them call is soul-touching.  My macaw experiences have brought me some of my most memorable moments, so I want them to be around always.  I can't even explain how I feel when I see or hear them, so I wouldn't even bother trying.

To encourage them, I'm raising funds through my art to help keep their home intact,
so am selling hand-painted, signed book-marks of the Green Wing (Ara chloroptera).  Funds would also help provide facilities for persons visiting Moraro to experience the natural environment.

Thank you for hearing me out, and taking a look at my work.  If you would like to purchase, you can either contact me or buy through my store.

I love communicating with persons interested in my work.  Please contact me if you'd like to do so.

Hope to hear from you soon and wish you all the best.

Take care!

P.S.  I have done some colouring-in drawings of some  forest-dwellers of Moraro.  Please feel free to print by clicking on print for instructions on how you can have your copy to colour in.

Enjoy!

Please note:
The store will be closed between 13th April and 15th May, and orders cannot be sent out between those dates. Thanks for your patience.
